100 Exploring Self, World, and Future (2:2)

Pr. first-year students (who have completed 0–29 s.h.)

Students will examine their role as engaged global learners in the educational experience through an exploration of the purposes of higher education and an introduction to the resources, skills, and competencies essential to academic success at UNCG.

101 Foundations for Learning (2:2)

Pr. first-year students enrolled in a learning community

Informs students about campus resources, provides instruction and practice of academic skills and develops collaborative inquiry, information literacy, integrated learning, critical thinking, and oral communication skills.

120 Introduction to Research (1–3)

An introduction to what is and how research/scholarship in a variety of academic fields is conducted. Includes instruction on Responsible Conduct of Research. (All)
