Course Credit and Advanced Placement
Advanced placement credit or exemption from specific degree requirements may be granted by UNCG. Students should contact their secondary school counselors regarding dates and local test centers.
College Board Advanced Placement (AP) Program
Secondary school students enrolled in AP courses may receive college credit by taking AP examinations upon completion of the courses and forwarding the results to the Office of the University Registrar for evaluation. You may also visit the ETS Web site.

International Baccalaureate (IB) Program
Listed below is the credit associated with scores on the International Baccalaureate Higher Level Examinations. The University Registrar at UNCG receives the IB scores and assigns the appropriate credit hours. Students should request that their test scores be sent to UNCG. Students will be notified in writing of the credit they receive. You may also visit the IB Web site or call 212/889-9242.
