Attention MLS 620C students:
You should be aware that the MLS 620C course website uses a nontraditional navigation.
For much of this course, you will assume the role of a recent hire to an influential human rights monitoring group. Your training will include reading materials and virtual experiences. On the next page you will find your first welcome and training materials. This represents the first few weeks on the syllabus. After that, you will get to work in the “office.” Here you will find a picture of the office for the Center for Universal Justice and Dignity. Notice that mouse-ing over characters in the office highlights them. You should select characters in order using the course syllabus as a guide. These characters are experts on certain areas of the world. They will guide you in your training. Good Luck.
Following the mini-expeditions, you'll take a one-week break from human rights reporting to read and reflect on an account of United Nations peacekeeping missions.
The course will end with group research projects.
