Alpha Lambda Delta Honorary (Freshmen)
Membership is invited in April based upon GPA and induction will be April 2007. Candidates must be full-time first semester freshmen working towards a Bachelor's degree with a 3.5 GPA or higher. If membership is invited, national dues must be paid as well. Students become members by accepting the invitation, paying one-time local and chapter dues and being formally inducted into the chapter. Although there is a points system for earning graduation honor cords through service and active participation, members do not have to be active in the chapter to remain members.
The mission of Alpha Lambda Delta is to encourage superior academic achievement, to promote intelligent living and a high standard of learning and to assist students in recognizing and developing meaningful goals in society. By inviting first year college students to become members of this prestigious honor society, we hope to encourage academic excellence throughout the college career.
