Alpha Kappa Delta Honor Society (Sociology)
Inductions held in April for undergraduate and graduate students. Faculty invite students for membership.
Undergraduate student requirements for membership:
1. Junior or senior status
2. Sociology as major, double major, or second major.
3. Completed 12 hours of regular courses in sociology with a 3.0 or above in sociology courses
4. An overall GPA of 3.0 of higher
Requirements for sociology graduate students:
1. Completion of 15 hours of graduate level classes (500 or above) that count towards a MA Sociology
2. 3.6 GPA in classes that count towards sociology MA
3. No grade of a C+ or below in any sociology MA classes
Students who are known by faculty to have engaged in academic integrity violations will not be asked to join AKD, even if all other criteria for membership have been met.
