Departments: Offices and Centers

Student Affairs is comprised of multiple departments, each with a specific role. Each office or center provides unique services and programs in order to fulfill the division's mission. Visit our deparmental websites:

Office for Adult Students (OAS)
OAS facilitates activities and services to enhance the on-campus experience of UNCG students age 24 and older. All adult students are encouraged to check the OAS website for events of special interest to this population and updates of campus announcements.
Campus Activities & Programs (CAP)
Campus Activities & Programs seeks to complement the academic program of studies and enhance the overall educational experience of students through development of, exposure to, and participation in social, cultural, intellectual, recreational, spiritual, and governance programs.
Campus Recreation (CAM)
Campus Recration is a broad program, which includes organized and informal sports and physical activity programming. The Mission of the Department of Campus Recreation is to provide a variety of leisure activities, which are selected on the basis of their contribution to the lifetime development of the individual. In the University's concern for the intellectual development of its students, ample opportunities are also provided for the experiences through recreation programs, which offer physical, psychological, ethical and social development.
Career Services Center (CSC)
The CSC provides professional guidance and resources to undergraduate and graduate students and alumni for their lifelong career development. We design services to educate, counsel, and involve students and alumni in career planning and decision-making, experiential learning, continuing education, and/or employment search activities. To provide these services, we establish mutually beneficial relationships with our clients: students, alumni, employers, faculty, staff, and the community.
Dean of Students Office
The mission of the Dean of Students Office is to contribute to the educational mission of the University by initiating programs and services that support an environment conducive to academic and personal development.
Office of Disability Services (ODS)
Disability Services is committed to orchestrating the educational development of qualified students who have a physical or learning disability. Simultaneously, Disability Services continually works to improve understanding and support of the total University community toward this end. Students are encouraged to be independent and autonomous individuals who know their learning strengths and develop appropriate coping strategies for academic success. Disability Services serves as a supportive psychological environment so those students may achieve their educational objectives.
Elliott University Center/Aycock Auditorium (EUC)
EUC/Aycock is responsible for maintaining facilities, providing services, and promoting programs that are responsive to student developmental needs and to the physical, social, cultural, and continuing education needs of the campus community.
Housing and Residence Life (HRL)
HRL is committed to providing a high quality, high value living experience that brings our residents to lives of service, scholarship, and leadership, both as students and graduates of UNCG.
Office of Leadership and Service-Learning (OLSL)
OLSL supports, develops, and catalyzes curricular, co-curricular, and experiential leadership and service-learning programs which advance the leadership potential and civic involvement of every willing UNCG student. The vision of the Office of Leadership and Service Learning is that every UNCG student will have the opportunity to realize his or her personal leadership style and capacity to affect positive change in society.
Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA)
Multicultural Affairs provides programs and services that support the academic mission of the University by enhancing the educational, personal, cultural, and social development of African American, Asian American, Latino American, and Native American students. The Office promotes culturally diverse activities that create an awareness and appreciation for racial and cultural diversity.
Orientation and Family Programs (ORI)
Orientation provides assistance to new students in their transition to the University by exposing them to our broad educational opportunities, and by integrating them into the life of the University. Orientation programs are made available to all students new to the University and to parent/family members of the new students. The office is committed to designing and offering orientation programs to serve both the student and the University by providing the bridge between the status of the prospective student and enrolled student.
Student Health Services (SHS)
SHS seeks to enhance the physical, psychological, environmental, and health education status of UNCG students. As a health organization operating within an academic institution, the Student Health Services is committed to the support of the educational, research, and service missions of the University.
