The west lawn of the Elliott University Center will get an extreme makeover thanks to a gift by Randall Kaplan and Kathy Manning. The scope of the project will include extensive relandscaping, new trees, flowering plants, ornamental shrubs and a new area irrigation system. Other features will include additional benches, seat walls, and walkways. Construction will begin in February 2008. Kaplan Commons will be dedicated to coincide with the 2008 FallFest, which will take place on the renovated lawn.
