As a student at UNCG, Julie Newcomb was active in her sorority, Chi Omega. Her leadership skills enabled her to served as President of the Panhellenic Council.
Today, Jule Newcomb reside in Greensboro, NC and works as a sales and marketing representative.

- What drew you UNCG?
- I am from GSO and thought the campus was beautiful. I came with intentions of transferring but I stayed b/c I ended up loving it.
- What did being a student leader at UNCG mean to you?
- It was great. I loved making connections and new friends and gaining new skills. I was Panhellenic President (president of the governing body over all of the sororities) my Senior year and that was challenging but fun... I learned a lot about the Greek system. More than I knew from just being in a sorority.
- What is your favorite UNCG memory?
- Most of them I can’t mention in mixed company... haha... but honestly, homecoming and Greek week were always so fun and those times stuck out in my mind. Also my freshman year (fall ’91), Toad the Wet Sprocket played in the soccer stadium, that was so cool!!!
- What advice would you give current UNCG students or specifically, student leaders?
- Be strong, don’t be afraid to ask questions... leaders don’t know everything. Enjoy!!!
- What have you been doing since graduating?
- I am in a sales and marketing position... nothing to do with my major. I have been I this same type of job since '95 graduation.
