American Sign Language/Deaf Studies Minor
Required: minimum of 15 semester hours

Students must complete 15 semester hours of courses in American Sign Language/Deaf
Studies after successfully completing SES 100 and 101. SES
245 is required and the
remaining 12 semester hours may be chosen from the following: SES
102, 203, 204, 305,
306, 366, 369, 370, 380, 400, or 499. Note that advanced ASL courses are not offered during the summer session.
Course offerings and spaces in courses are limited. Students must achieve a B- (2.70) or higher in all the SES courses, including the prerequisite courses, for progression in the minor. Students wishing to pursue a minor should meet with an advisor in the program each
semester in order to select courses relative to the student’s progress, interests, and career goals.
