Minerva's Morning Coffee
On Thursday, October 23, from 8:30 am to 9:45 am, come join the Office for Adult Students for a morning cup of coffee and some dialogue! We will be meeting in Charlie's Coffee Shop in the Elliott University Center.
Financial Aid in OAS
As a service to our Adult Students who are on campus in the evening, a representative from the Financial Aid Office will be visiting our office at 210 EUC on Tuesday, October 28, from 4:00-6:30 pm to answer any questions you may have. Please take advantage of this excellent opportunity for individual advice!
Service Saturday Coming Nov. 1
This year, the Office for Adult Students will be holding Service Saturday on November 1 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm in conjunction with Partnership Village.
Partnership Village is a housing community affiliated with Greensboro Urban Ministry that assists formerly homeless individuals. The goal of Partnership Village is to help individuals become self sufficient and eventually to own their own homes. The Office for Adult Students plans to go as a group to help with maintenance of the community. Some activities will include clean up of litter, sweeping stairs and hallways, organization of the community room and windows cleaned.

Flu Shots!
Do you still need to get your flu shot this year? The Wellness center is sponsoring Wellness Wednesdays in the EUC Commons on October 29 and November 5 between 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. The fee will be $18 for Fee Paid Students and $21 for Non Fee Paid Students, Faculty, Staff and Family Members. Flu shots are also available in the Immunization Clinic in the Gove Student Health Center from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Greek Treats: Coming Soon!
On Tuesday October 28 from 6-8 pm in EUC's Cone Ballroom please join the fraternities and sororities at UNCG for Greek Treats. There will be Halloween games, activities, and treats! Children (and adults) are welcome to come in costume. Please bring 1 new or gently used toy to be donated to Greensboro Urban Ministries.
Registration is Coming!
Registration for Spring semester 2009 is quickly approaching! In order to assist those adult students who have not been through registration before, we have made a presentation available with some tips, pointers, and important dates here. This presentation was originally made by Nancy Bucknall (from CASA) and has been adapted for adult students. For the Registrar's website on how to register for classes, please go here.

UNCG's Parking Services offers a carpool organization system on their website. If you're looking for someone in your area to ride to school with please check out this website.
Join Campus Connect
Campus Connect is an online blackboard organization for the Office for Adult Students. Participants can chat with one another, post questions to peers and share experiences.
This year, we are introducing sub-groups for students with specific interests which currently include Veterans, Pet Owners, Parents, Video Gamers, and Distance Learners.
To join, log into Blackboard and search for "Campus Connect" under organizations, or simply contact Joe Gullo with your name and he will enroll you!
