We know coming to college can be a challenge, especially if you've been away for a while. From Monday through Wednesday of the first week of classes, the Office for Adult Students will be holding "Lunch Live" from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm in the second floor of the Elliott University Center Food Court. A small group of current successful adult students will be there to answer questions and dispense advice. Come, eat, and meet some new friends in the Adult Student community!
The Office for Adult Students welcomes continuing Adult Students to help with Lunch Live! If you would be interested in helping to facilitate this event and meet some new adult students, simply e-mail Joe at j_gullo@uncg.edu.
On Thursday, August 28, from 8:30 am to 9:45 am, come join the Office for Adult Students for a morning cup of coffee and some dialogue! We will be meeting in Charlie's Coffee Shop in the Elliott University Center.
The next installment of Campus Activities' Commuter Deli will be on Thursday, August 28th in EUC's Cone Ballroom. from 11:00am - 2:00pm. Bring your Student ID, and look for a table of Adult Students!

UNCG ITS is pleased to announce the go-live date of Monday, August 18th, 2008 for the new iSpartan services. iSpartan is UNCG's offering of Google Apps for Education (GAFE) and will be the new email system for all students.
While similar, this program is different from the previous opt-in UNCG Student E-Mail Pilot Program. Students will be responsible for migrating their own old e-mails, contacts, and calendars from their old accounts to this new account.

On August 23 OAS will host "Get Set Saturday," a program intended to provide adult students with information and resources that will help make their first semester at UNCG a successful one. Visit the Get Set Saturday Web page for complete information.
You can now register for Get Set Saturday online. The Web registration form is a quick and easy alternative to mailing in your registration.
Please Note: This program is separate from SOAR. SOAR is required for all new incoming students, Get Set Saturday is optional.
Campus Connect is an online blackboard organization for the Office of Adult Students. Participants can chat with one another, post questions to peers and share experiences.
This year, we are introducing sub groups for students with specific interests which currently include Veterans, Pet Owners, Parents, Video Gamers, and Distance Learners.
To join, log into blackboard and search for "Campus Connect" under organizations, or simply contact Joe Gullo with your name and he will enroll you!
