UNCG ITS is pleased to announce the go-live date of Monday, August 18th, 2008 for the new iSpartan services. iSpartan is UNCG's offering of Google Apps for Education (GAFE) and will be the new email system for all students.
While similar, this program is different from the previous opt-in UNCG Student E-Mail Pilot Program. Students will be responsible for migrating their own old e-mails, contacts, and calendars from their old accounts to this new account.
For instructions on how to migrate your mail, contacts and calendars from e-Spartan and Spartan Mail (the opt in Google Apps Pilot) click here.

The Office for Adult Students has just received several boxes of UNCG Calendar Books. We've received many inquiries as to when they'd arrive, so come to our office to pick one up!
Adult Student Alan Buck has had a very busy summer. Alan is the general manager for the Spartan TV station, and at the end of last school year he received a grant to purchase new equipment for the studio and expand programming.
According to Alan, "We've got some great sutff lined up for this year. We're working with a company in New York to get some 24/7 content in addition to the content we produce. Last year, we produced one show and now we'll produce two in addition to covering athletic events. Also, we'll be streaming our programs to the web, which is something we explored after the debate last year."
On August 23 OAS will host "Get Set Saturday," a program intended to provide adult students with information and resources that will help make their first semester at UNCG a successful one. Visit the Get Set Saturday Web page for complete information.
You can now register for Get Set Saturday online. The Web registration form is a quick and easy alternative to mailing in your registration.
Please Note: This program is separate from SOAR. SOAR is required for all new incoming students, Get Set Saturday is optional.
