Adult Students in Action: Lee
Adult Student Sang Lee, who owns a Martial Arts Academy in Burlington, recently returned from a trip to Korea and China where his students participated in an international Tae Kwon Do Tournament.
Lee's students did very well in this tournament, and learned many things over the course of this experience. More information about the trip, including a video documenting the voyage, is available at the Lee Brothers Website, www.leebrotherskick.com.
Get Set Saturday Online Registration
On August 23 OAS will host "Get Set Saturday," a program intended to provide adult students with information and resources that will help make their first semester at UNCG a successful one. Visit the Get Set Saturday Web page for complete information.
You can now register for Get Set Saturday online. The Web registration form is a quick and easy alternative to mailing in your registration.
Please Note: This program is separate from SOAR. SOAR is required for all new incoming students, Get Set Saturday is optional.
Work Study Positions Available
The Office for Adult Students is seeking up to two students for work-study employment this semester! We are looking for motivated individuals who can relate to and assist adult students for 10 hours a week. To inquire, contact Joe Gullo.
Join Campus Connect
Campus Connect is a blackboard organization for the Office of Adult Students. It currently hosts discussions and resources for adult students, and will soon be expanded to include many additional resources. To join, log into blackboard and search for "Campus Connect" under organizations, or simply contact Joe Gullo with your name and he will enroll you!
