"This summer's experience has been a real eye opener to (me about) North Carolina's food providers and stewards of the earth. These experiences have inspired me to plant my own kitchen garden and seek out local seafood."
Have you visited the Weatherspoon Art Museum recently? If not, make plans now, and be a part of two very special events. This summer, the Weatherspoon will feature the traveling exhibition "TRANSactions: Contemporary Latin American and Latino Art". To compliment this event, the museum will present Latin American films for their annual summer film series, starting on July 10. Films begin on Thursday evenings at 7 pm.
All films are free to attend, and refreshments will be available for purchase, but seating is limited. A short discussion will be hosted after each film. Not all of the films are appropriate for young audiences. Come early and hear local DJs play Latin sounds in the new sculpture garden, starting at 5:30.
