Smoked Gouda and Apple on a Bagel
With no mayo or meat, this healthy and nutritious lunch can sit in a lunch bag for a few hours without concerns about spoilage.
Layer thin overlapping slices of Gouda cheese on one side of a bagel. Slice the apple into thin, round cross-sectional slices and place in overlapping layers on top of cheese. Add a leaf of Romaine lettuce, folded in half. For extra moisture, a tablespoonful of chutney can be added to the bagel. Place in a baggie. This will be tasty at room temperature several hours later, or you can microwave for 35-40 seconds for added softening of the cheese.
