Mom's Chili

Recipe Description:

My mom is the best!

Ingredients:

  • 1 large can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 normal can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 can of tomato sauce or tomato paste with 1 cup of water
  • 1 medium yellow onion
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 can of dark red kidney beans
  • 1 can of light red kidney beans
  • 1 can of black beans
  • 1 packet of McCormick chili powder mix
  • 3 tsp cumin
  • 1 lb lean hamburger meat
  • shredded mild cheese

Directions:

  1. Brown hamburger meat with onions and green peppers
  2. Drain meat and veggies
  3. Add meat and veggies to crock pot with all the other ingredients except the cheese
  4. Cook on high 4-8 hours
  5. Add cheese when almost ready to serve - just wait long enough for the cheese to melt
  6. Dish it out
