Project Military Messages

Please help the VETS program continue to make "Project Military" a success. "Project Military" was created after realizing that several members of the UNCG family (students and staff) were serving our country militarily at this time. If you would like to send a message to a student serving in the military, contact Joshua Green at jagreen@uncg.edu . We will take your picture, holding your own personalized message and e-mail that to UNCG's students that are overseas. Come help us with this excellent program and bring a friend!

Lactation Rooms

University Libraries and the Center for Women’s Health and Wellness are proud to host the first Nursing Mother's Room (lactation room) at UNCG. Jackson Library Room 570 is now open to students, faculty, staff and visitors by key checkout at the library Check Out desk. The room is available during library operating hours: http://library.uncg.edu/hours. The room features a hospital grade Medela Symphony pump and a gliding rocker and ottoman. Women are welcome to bring their own “pump parts” to attach to the Medela Symphony. Room use is first come, first served- there is currently no reservation system.

New mothers are urged to contact Lea Leininger, Health Sciences Librarian (laleinin@uncg.edu) for an orientation before using the room for the first time. Questions about the room may also be addressed to Center for Women’s Health and Wellness (336-334-4735, cwhw@uncg.edu); Jeanne Irwin-Olson, Assistant Director for Wellness, Student Health Services (jrirwino@uncg.edu); and Ann Perdue, Jackson Library Stacks and Remote Storage Manager (ahperdue@uncg.edu).
