Leadership is about coaching your employees to success, helping them develop their strengths, not their weaknesses, and fostering employee involvement and empowerment to enable them to contribute their best effort at work. Additionally, leaders should understand the differences between leading and managing and understand different leadership styles. Leadership styles should be situational and depend on the task, the team or individual's capabilities and knowledge, the time and tools available, and the results desired.
