"We have become not a melting pot but a beautiful mosaic."
-Jimmy Carter
Do you want to develop effective working relationships with diverse people at work? A great starting point is identifying similarities, not differences, among people when you build relationships. By acknowledging the similarities and likenesses, we create a starting point for understanding and appreciating diversity in the work place. Diversity in the workplace adds a special richness, but also special challenges. As a manager, supervisor, staff member or faculty member, effective diverse work relationships are critical for your success.
