It is important that every employee possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their job successfully. As partners in service, the Training & Development Office of Human Resource Services is committed to making that happen by conducting training workshops and providing both professional and personal development opportunities to ensure a productive, motivated, and successful work force.
It is with great enthusiasm that our office provides you with the 2009-2010 catalog and schedule of training and development opportunities in addition to the updates made to this webpage. We hope that you find these resources helpful in planning for your career development, your success, and your future. Whether you need to enhance your current skills and competencies, you yearn for new ideas or techniques, or simply want the opportunity to interact with and learn from fellow colleagues, we invite you to take advantage of the learning opportunities found throughout the catalog and webpage.
New to the training & development calendar this year are 11 additional workshops, afternoon sessions, the introduction of “learning modules,” and a new Financial and Life Planning (FLP) series. In addition, you'll find links towards the bottom of this webpage that provide other training opportunities offered across campus and at the Office of State Personnel (OSP). Feel free to contact Jason Morris, Employee Development Specialist, at 334-4408 with any questions, ideas, or other comments about training and development opportunities here at UNCG.
If you would simply like to participate in an individual workshop and not complete an entire learning module, you may register for workshops by visiting the HRS Workshop Registration Page.
*Note: When completing registration forms for OSP provided workshops, you will need to indicate Jason Morris, jbmorris@uncg.edu, as the "Interagency Training Coordinators Name."
