UNCG New Employee Orientation Webpage
| New Employee Orientation is a mandatory information and benefits enrollment session conducted for all new employees in permanent SPA or EPA positions. Areas discussed during NEO in addition to benefits include but are not limited to: Federal and State employment policies, Leave policies, Office of Safety, ITS accounts, and UNCG sustainability. |
| It is vital for new employees to attend orientation within thirty days of their start date. New employees are assigned an NEO date by HRS that is closest to the employee’s hire date.
Once an applicant accepts an offer of employment, HRS mails a letter to the applicant’s home address indicating the assigned orientation date, time, and location. Supervisors of new SPA employees are also notified of the NEO date for their new employee via e-mail. |
NEO is mandatory for all SPA and EPA positions.
New employees who have been working for twenty or more days and have not received an invitation to orientation should please contact HRS immediately.
NEO sessions are typically offered twice per month and are from 8:15-4:30
Any benefits that a new employee enrolls in will be effective on the first of the month following their date of hire. |
