Office of State Personnel Disability Income Plan Definitions
Definition: Financial resource for employees who become temporarily or permanently disabled and are unable to perform their regular work duties. They may qualify to receive partial replacement income for the duration of their disability.
When to use: Any time an employee you supervise anticipates being out of work due to sickness (physical or mental) or injury more than 60 calendar days, and will not have sufficient leave to cover the extent of lost time.
