Definition: The Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA") prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in employment, transportation, public accommodation, communications, and governmental activities. The ADA also prohibits discrimination against qualified individuals with disabilities in job application procedures, hiring, firing, advancement, compensation, job training, and other terms, conditions, and privileges of employment.
When to use: Use this policy when an employee or an applicant requests a reasonable accommodation to a known disability.
