Summer Session Housing and Dining Plans

General Information

Student rooms will open at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, May 20, 2008. Students attending courses beginning on later dates may occupy their rooms at 12:00 noon on the day prior to the first day of their course. Room assignments and meal plan selections are considered final until the opening of school for the appropriate summer term.

All summer housing rooms are furnished with beds, dressers, desks, and chairs. Halls are equipped with one or more lounges, study rooms, laundry rooms and kitchens. Rooms are air-conditioned, have local telephone service (phones not provided), and automated voicemail service. Long distance service is available by using a personal calling card.

No facilities are available on campus for housing non-students, spouses, children or high school students enrolled in Summer Session courses.

Students provide their own bed linens (80” mattresses), blankets and lamps. All windows are equipped with mini-blinds. Students should bring their own trash and recycling bins and telephones.

Refund of Room and Board

Room rent and meal plans are NOT refundable. However, if a student qualifies for an exception, a room rent is refundable except for $50 plus a pro rata part of the remaining charges based upon the expired portion of the term. Meal plan charges for exceptions are refundable except for a pro rata charge based on the expired portion of the term. For more information, refer to the Summer Session Housing & Dining Contract.

General Information

UNCG students who wish to live on campus should complete the Summer Housing Application beginning March 26, 2007. The Summer Housing Application & the Summer Session Housing & Dining Contract can be found on the UNCG Housing and Residence Life Web Page at: http://hrl.uncg.edu

Room and Board Charges

All students residing on campus are required to have an all-cash meal plan and pay appropriate room and board charges. Students attending special courses for less than a full session will be assessed charges on a weekly basis.
