Bob Hansen is Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, and Professor of Theatre at UNCG. He has a B.A / from the University of Minnesota, Morris (1973) with a double major in English and Theatre; an M.S. in Theatre from Florida State University (1974), and a Ph.D. in Theatre from the University of Minnesota (1977). He has been on the faculty of Bowling Green State University, the Tennessee Arts Academy, and—since 1986—the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He teaches in the areas of design and theatre history. He is the author of Scenic and Costume Design for the Ballets Russes. Ann Arbor, MI: UMI Research Press, 1985; and numerous articles and reviews that have been published in Southern Theatre, Theatre Crafts, and TDT (Theatre Design and Technology). In addition to his work as a teacher, scholar, and administrator, Bob has worked extensively as a theatre artist, designing sets, lights, and/or costumes for over 100 stage productions since 1972.
