MALS Program Admissions and Tuition
The program is open to all college graduates regardless of their undergraduate majors. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree with a GPA of at least 3.0 from an accredited college or university. Students with graduate credit from other institutions may apply to transfer credit of up to 11 hours. Transfer credit requires the approval of the program and of the Dean of the Graduate School. Applicants to the MALS program must submit the following to The Graduate School:
- A completed graduate application form
- A non-refundable $45 application fee
- Two official transcripts of your academic record at all universities and colleges
- Three letters of recommendation
- Applicants are to provide the MALS Office with a three to four page admission essay describing in depth why they are considering study in an interdisciplinary program, how the MALS program can further their personal and/or professional aims, and what special abilities, personal qualities and life experience they bring to the program. This essay should also include their academic background, and any information relevant to the evaluation of the application. Tuition and Registration
Registration for MALS courses is through the Division of Continual Learning. Tuition for MALS courses differs from that for regular courses for both resident and non-resident students. Please call for current rates or click here.
