students overview

If you are interested in taking UNCG iSchool courses, please consult your high school guidance counselor first to see if iSchool is a good fit for you.

Not only are iSchool courses at the college level, but they are offered online, giving you a whole other dimension of challenge and opportunity! iSchool courses are taken in a computer lab at your high school with a classroom facilitator who's there to help. There are also live people available online, including your UNCG instructor and the folks at our UNCG iSchool Help Desk.

Ultimately, your success at taking an online course depends on you. You must keep up with due dates for assignments and keep up with the pace of the course. If you fall behind you may never be able to catch up. See our success tips in the footer for help with exams, thinking critically, communication methods and more.

These courses are academically rich, exciting and fun! UNCG has won many awards for its online courses and they are some of the best offered anywhere! After you take these courses you will have real college credit, based upon a grade of C or better, and an advantage other high school students don't; you’ll be experienced in taking online courses, which is a way of life these days.

Whatever course you choose, you’ll be getting the exact same course that degree-seeking UNCG students are taking; not some watered-down version created for high school students. You will be completing a real college course. Now that’s something to write on your wall!
