- A: UNCG iSchool is a program developed by UNCG through which you can enroll in selected online college courses offered on your high school campus during the regular school day.
- Q: Which students should take UNCG iSchool courses?
- A: Most college-bound juniors and seniors who are willing to work hard may successfully complete one or more courses per year. Check with your school counselor for information about other requirements.
- Q: Do UNCG iSchool courses apply toward high school graduation?
- A: Yes, you will get both high school and college credit.
- Q: What if I don't plan to attend UNCG?
- A: Most colleges that accept UNCG credit will accept credit earned through UNCG iSchool.
- Q: What if I plan to attend UNCG?
- A: Enrollment as a UNCG iSchool student does not guarantee admission to UNCG or any other institution. To garner admission, you should contact the appropriate admissions office. If admitted to UNCG, you'll earn BOTH the credit and grade.
- Q: Who will teach UNCG iSchool courses?
- A: UNCG provides qualified instructors on all online courses. All instructors are UNCG faculty members or adjuncts appointed by the academic departments.
- Q: How do I get started?
- A: Discuss the program with your parents then consult your high school counselor to see if iSchool is a good fit for you.
- Q: Is UNCG iSchool a new program?
- A: Courses have been offered through UNCG iSchool since 1997.
- Q: What courses are offered through UNCG iSchool?
- A: Check the online courses page on the Web site for course descriptions. Some of the courses offered at iSchool include Cultural Anthropology, Dance Appreciation, Music Appreciation, Physical Fitness, German and more.
- Q: Is UNCG iSchool better than advanced placement (AP)?
- A: Both UNCG iSchool and AP offer an accelerated curriculum aimed at college-bound students. There is no end of year test for college credit for UNCG iSchool courses; your grade is what you earn in the course. Your counselor will be able to help you select which is best for you.
- Q: How difficult are UNCG iSchool courses?
- A: UNCG iSchool courses are the same courses as those taught on the UNCG campus. Academic standards are high and your success will depend upon good work and study habits.

iSchool courses for spring 2010 reached their cap. Students who have not yet registered are unlikely to obtain a seat.
iSchool is no longer accepting Student Information Forms (SIFs) for spring 2010 registration.
The 2010-2011 application process will open in March 2010.
