Computing Accounts

All students at UNCG have four separate computer-related accounts:

UNCGenie
Novell NetWare / UNCG espartan email / Blackboard account (sometimes called "lab account")
Unix

Any time you have problems with any of your passwords, you can get immediate help by calling 336-256-tech.

Activate your accounts. You need to activate your accounts to access Blackboard, the course management platform.
UNCGenie. This section provides information related to the use of UNCGenie, the administrative service that helps you to register for courses, view academic records, and more.
Novell/Netware. This page tells you what you use Novell/Netware for, how to activate it, and more.
Blackboard. Learn information about Blackboard, the course management platform, ranging from how to activate and access it to how to use it.
Espartan Email. All students are required to use UNCG email. Set up Email to receive messages related to your degree or class.
Unix. Provides access to Unix Web hosting space.
Password change. If you need to change your password for Novell/Netware, Blackboard, or Unit/Email, receive instructions on this page.
