The student should be able to see the sociological perspective as a whole and explain some of its effects.

Well, we have come a long way. What I hope you are able to take from this course is a strong sense of how humans are social beings through and through. And I hope that you have gained a few insights into how society influences you and the world in which you live. In short, I hope that the sociological imagination bug has bitten you! Our textbook reading gives a very good overview of the entire course and its most important points. After reading the text, I'm going to ask you to stand back and try to take an overview and think about how sociology can challenge you and your world.
