Title: Associate ProfessorProfile: Sheldon Balbirer is an Associate Professor in the Bryan School of Business and Economics. He received an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering in 1961 from Carnegie Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in Business Administration in 1978 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Professor Balbirer has authored articles in the areas of corporate finance, financial institutions and financial markets. He has been recognized for teaching excellence by receiving UNCG's Alumni Teaching Excellence Award, the Bryan School's Outstanding Teaching Award and the MBA Association's Faculty Excellence Award. In 2001, Professor Balbirer assumed the leadership of the Bryan School's MBA Program.
