ADVISOR ASSIGNMENTS
Advisor assignments are made either by the University Registrar's Office or by academic departments, depending on each department's preference. Departments that make their own advisor assignments should contact the University Registrar's Office when advisors have been assigned or when changes in assignment need to be made. Students are able to see the name of their departmental advisor in UNC Genie by logging into the secure area, selecting Student & Financial Aid , selecting Registration , and then selecting Look Up Advisor . Visiting and Explorations students are advised by Student Academic Services.
