Courses dropped before the last day to drop without academic penalty will be assigned a grade of "W". These course hours will not be included in attempted hours and will not be calculated into the student's GPA.
Courses dropped after the last day to drop a course without academic penalty will receive a grade of "WF". Grades of "WF" are calculated the same as grades of "F" into the student's GPA and are included in the attempted hours.
If a student stops attending a course without officially withdrawing from it, the final grade will be an "F".
In extreme circumstances, a student may submit an appeal to drop a course without penalty after the drop date of the current term. The link below provides the forms for withdrawal from the current them.
In extreme circumstances, a student my submit an appeal to have grades retroactively changed to "W". Appeals are only appropriate in situations that were severe and out of the student's control. Students have one year to petition for retroactive "Ws" following the semester in which grades were awarded. The link below provides the form for retroactive appeals.

Courses can only be cancelled for non-attendance if the student has never attended the course.
Students
are responsible for contacting their professors to verify non-attendance.
