Parking at the Armfield-Preyer Admissions & Visitor Center (1400 Spring Garden Street) is very limited, so unless you are meeting an admissions counselor or dropping off paperwork, please park at the Walker Avenue parking deck.
From the North/East (Raleigh/Durham, Richmond, VA)
From I-40W/85S, keep right to continue on 40W toward Greensboro/Winston-Salem. Take Exit 218B toward Freeman Mill Road/Coliseum Area and turn right on Freeman Mill Road. Turn left at the first stoplight onto Coliseum Boulevard. Follow for approximately 1.5 miles and turn right at the fourth stoplight onto Walker Avenue. From I-85 North, follow Business 85 towards Greensboro, then take the Holden Road exit and turn right on Holden Road. Follow Holden for approximately 4.5 miles and turn right on Market Street. Follow Market Street for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn right on Aycock Street South. From the West (Winston-Salem, Asheville, Knoxville, TN)
From I-40 East, follow the signs for Greensboro and take the Wendover Avenue East exit. Follow Wendover to the exit for Market Street (3.5 miles). Turn right on Market Street and follow for less than 1 mile. Turn right on Aycock Street South. At the first stoplight, turn left on Walker Ave. The Walker Avenue Parking Deck will be on your right after Kenilworth Street. Map It
From the North on Hwy 220 (Martinsville, Roanoke, VA)
Highway 220 South becomes Battleground Avenue. Stay on Battleground until you cross the intersection of Cornwallis Drive. Immediately bear right on Westover Terrace. (Battleground Avenue and Highway 220 will bear left.) Stay on Westover as it becomes Aycock Street. At the stoplight after Walker Avenue, turn left onto Spring Garden Street. Go through the stoplight at Kenilworth, and turn left on Stirling Street. The Walker Avenue Parking Deck will be on your left after you cross Theta Street. Map It

From Highway 29 South take the Wendover Avenue West/Hospital Exit. Follow Wendover for approximately 2.6 miles and take the Westover Terrace exit. Follow the exit to the right, and merge right, following the Coliseum sign. Stay on Westover as it becomes Aycock Street. Turn left at the second stoplight onto Walker Avenue. Visitor Parking
Visitor parking is available in the Walker Avenue Parking Deck ONLY. Parking is available 24 hours a day at the rate of $1.00 per hour with a $5 a day maximum.
Campus Tours
Campus tours leave from the Dail Room of the Elliott University Center. Visitor parking is available in the Walker Avenue Parking Deck, directly across from the Elliott University Center. To reach the deck from Aycock Street, turn onto Walker Avenue toward campus; the Walker Avenue Parking Deck will be on your right after Kenilworth Street. We also ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time, so that we can get started as promptly as possible. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is in the Armfield-Preyer Admissions & Visitor Center, at the 1400 Spring Garden Street.
