Required Steps for Admitted Students

| Confirm your plans to attend UNCG – You must confirm in SpartanLink once you have been admitted. A spot in UNCG's incoming class is yours as long as you accept your admission by May 1. If you are admitted after May 1, you must confirm within four weeks of the date of your admission. |  |

| Successfully complete courses in progress. | |

| Have official final transcripts sent – due July 15 for fall admission (January 3 for spring admission). | |

| Activate your UNCG computer accounts. | |

| Complete the student medical form and send your immunization record -- due prior to the Spartan Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR) program. Proof of immunization is required for enrollment. | |

| Complete Health Insurance Verification - Students enrolled in more than 6 semester hours must verify health insurance coverage. | |

| Make your SOAR reservation. Then be sure to attend your SOAR session (Spartan Orientation, Advising, and Registration program). | |

Optional Steps for Admitted Students
- Complete the online housing contract and mail pre-payment
- Financial Aid - file FAFSA by March 1 for priority consideration for the academic year.
- Purchase a laptop.
- Credit by Exam - AP and IB exams
- Summer Session
- Register with Disability Services
- Order your SpartanCard (student ID) - The SpartanCard is your all-in-one campus ID card, which can be used as a debit, library, and meal card at UNCG. You can order your SpartanCard online to avoid the rush when you get to campus. Visit the SpartanCard Center to find out how.
