Campus Resources for Admitted Students

Adult and Transfer students at UNCG Lloyd International Honors College
Interested in small, interdisciplinary courses? Thinking about studying abroad? Looking for a course that's not in the catalog? Honors students are afforded special privileges to assure they will have the skills and knowledge needed to be successful in an increasingly competitive global economy.

Resources for Adult Students
Adult students have been a significant part of our community since the University was founded in 1891. Last fall, approximately 36 percent of undergraduate students at UNCG were adult learners age 24 or older. To learn more about resources for adult students, visit oas.dept.uncg.edu.

Advising and Registration by Appointment
Admitted students may receive information about scheduling advising and registration appointments via email, so be sure to activate your UNCG computer accounts and check your UNCG email on a regular basis. To find your advisor and determine when advising appointments are available, go to web.uncg.edu/reg/dept/deptcontact.asp.

SOAR - Spartan Orientation, Advising, and Registration
A required one day orientation program especially for transfers and adults is a wonderful opportunity for you to obtain important information and take care of last minute business before classes begin. We also have SOAR programs for interested parents and family members.

UNS 102 - The Transfer Experience
New students are strongly encouraged to take this one semester hour course during their first semester at UNCG. The university studies curriculum is a great way to meet other students, learn about the campus, and develop skills and techniques needed to succeed in college.
