Frequently Asked Questions about UNCG What about transfer credit?
Prior to admission, counselors in the Undergraduate Admissions office can provide tools to assist you in determining potential transfer credit. An official Transfer Equivalency Worksheet (TEW) listing all courses accepted for transfer credit and their UNCG equivalents will be generated during the application process.

For additional transfer credit information, including an online transfer equivalency course search, visit www.uncg.edu/reg/transfer.

How will I find out how my credits apply toward my degree?
After admission, Curriculum, Advising, and Program Planning (CAPP) is an automated degree audit system accessible online through UNCGenie, UNCG's student information system. CAPP allows admitted students and their advisors to generate degree evaluations, view past degree evaluations, or conduct "what if" scenarios for changing majors. Be sure to check UNCGenie prior to your advising appointment to make sure your transfer credit is posted.

When do I register for courses?
UNCG offers Advising and Registration by Appointment for new transfer, adult, and readmitted students. Information about scheduling appointments for advising and registration is shared via email, so be sure to activate your UNCG computer accounts and check your UNCG email on a regular basis. To find your advisor and determine when advising appointments are available, go to web.uncg.edu/reg/dept/deptcontact.asp.
