Outstanding Chapter Named

UNCG's Phi Beta Kappa Chapter was named the most outstanding chapter at a public university by the National Phi Beta Kappa Society. UNCG is one of only six colleges or universities in North Carolina approved to have a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.


New Buildings on Campus

Two new academic buildings opened in fall 2006: the $17.6 million Gatewood Studio Arts Center provides 99,000 square feet of classroom, studio, and office space for the Departments of Interior Architecture and Art, and the $16.9 million Moore Hall for Humanities and Research Administration has 86,000 square feet in capacity for various departments in The College of Arts and Sciences.
