Apply to UNCGUNCG Students

Listed below are the different ways to apply for admission to UNCG. The application process is the same for day and evening programs. Please be aware that several of our programs require a secondary admissions process to the particular program. See below for a listing of the programs with special admissions requirements.

Please see our application deadlines to make sure you have everything complete on time.

Important information for online applicants

In order to improve the application process for prospective students, we are transitioning to a new version of our online application. Please be aware that the current UNCGenie will not be available after June 30, 2009.

Our new online application will be posted on our Web site this August. During the month of July, you can submit a paper application or apply to UNCG through the College Foundation of North Carolina Web site. Please visit www.cfnc.org for details.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we look forward to receiving your application. If you have any questions, please contact Undergraduate Admissions at admissions@uncg.edu or 336.334.5243.

All domestic applicants must submit:

  • Application and fee
  • Official high school transcript and GED scores or adult high school diploma, if applicable (not required for 2Plus or second-degree seeking applicants)
  • Official scores from the SAT or ACT, including the writing component (required for freshmen and transfers with fewer than 30 college transfer hours). Request that official scores be forwarded to UNCG directly from the testing agency. (For the SAT, UNCG's school code is 5913; for the ACT, the school code is 3166.
  • Official college transcripts from any post-secondary institution(s) attended, even those granting summer, extension, developmental, and technical credit.
  • International Students should visit the International Programs Center for additional requirements.
