Undergraduate Admissions

 

Online Application Instructions

Students wishing to submit an electronic application for admission to The University of North Carolina at Greensboro should review the following information.

  • The Web application constitutes an official application for admission to UNC Greensboro.
  • The Web application is for use by domestic undergraduate freshman, transfer, second degree, and former UNCG students.
  • Please review the general admissions information prior to completing this application.
  • There is a $45.00 nonrefundable application fee. Applications received without the fee will not be processed.

High School Students:

Submit the Undergraduate Application for Admission by March 1 for the fall semester and no later than December 1 for the spring semester. For priority consideration:

  • Students will be notified on a rolling basis after March 1. Final deadline is August 1 (space permitting).
  • Have your high school counselor send your official high school transcript showing senior courses in progress to UNCG. The address is:

  • If you have not already done so, take the SAT or ACT and request that official scores be forwarded to UNCG directly from the testing agency. You can request that UNCG receive your scores by calling the College Board SAT Program, Princeton, NJ 08541 at 609.771.7600 (UNCG Code Number 5913). For ACT scores, call The American College Testing Program at 319.337.1313 (UNCG Code Number 3166).
  • If you have completed any college courses while enrolled in high school, request that the registrar(s) of the college(s) send an official transcript of your record directly to UNCG.

Transfer Students:

  • Submit the Undergraduate Application for Admission and all credentials by August 1 for the fall semester or December 1 for the spring semester. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis and space permitting.
  • Request that the registrar of each institution you have attended (including summer session or extension work) send an official transcript of your record directly to UNCG. Request that your high school mail an official transcript directly to the UNCG Office of Undergraduate Admissions. If applicable, an official copy of your GED scores needs to be submitted along with an official high school transcript.
  • A student who has fewer than 30 transferable semester hours of credit must also submit SAT or ACT test scores. You can request that UNCG receive your scores by calling the College Board SAT Program, Princeton, NJ 08541 at 609.771.7600 (UNCG Code Number 5913). For ACT scores, call The American College Testing Program at 319.337.1313 (UNCG Code Number 3166).

Second Degree Students:

  • Submit the Undergraduate Application for Admission and all credentials by August 1 for fall consideration or December 1 for spring consideration. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and space permitting.
  • Request that the registrar of each institution you have attended (including summer session or graduate work) send an official transcript of your record directly to UNCG.
  • Make sure your choice of major is clearly indicated. Undecided is not an option for second degree students.

Former Students:

  • Submit the Undergraduate Application for Admission and all credentials by August 1 for fall consideration or December 1 for spring consideration. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and space permitting.
  • If you have attended school since leaving UNCG, request that the registrar of each institution you have attended (including summer session or graduate work) send an official transcript of your record directly to UNCG.
  • Former students must clear all holds from their record, if applicable.
  • Former students who have been dismissed must file an appeal with Student Academic Services.
