Students in our Elementary Education program regularly win awards such as Outstanding First Year Teacher, Teacher of the Year, and Outstanding Student Teacher in Science. Principals of school districts who employ our students say they are the best prepared teachers they have.
All Curriculum and Instruction majors take 10 hour per week internships in the schools for three consecutive semesters, culminating in student teaching in the fourth semester.
